POSITION: Assistant HRM [Training + Quality Assurance]

REPORTS TO: HRD
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is concerned with identifying learning needs within the resort and the development, coordination and delivery of effective training & development programmes with the objective of improving attitude, skills and knowledge of employees. Together with the HR Director, oversee the day to day operation of the Human Resources department, ensuring best practice and adhering to Conrad standards, policies and procedures.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
- Liaise closely with all Department Heads on Training & Developmental needs
and constantly maintains an open dialogue with them in order to identify
training and development needs for the Resort.
- Assess training & developmental programmes and its effectiveness, ensuring a
transfer of learning at the work place.
- Create and maintain a conducive Learning Environment providing consultation,
advise, assistance and support to operations
- Monitor and ensure that operational training activities are conducted regularly
in accordance to Conrad Service Culture and Brand Standards with the aim of
improving service opportunities/shortfalls.
- Be visible at operational areas with the view to ensure Conrad Service Culture
and Brands Standards compliance.
QUALITY ASSURANCE & SERVICE QUALITY
- Working with Department Heads in ensuring Conrad Service Culture And
Brand Standards are met and measured. Ensures compliance to Quality
Assurance (Mystery Shoppers) , Guest Comment Cards, Customer Loyalty
Tracking Study Reports and internal audits.
- Conduct Quality Assurance audits and closely track Improvement Planner and
ensure Department Heads are following-up on Action Plans.
- Responsible for the review of feedback related to Quality Assurance processes
and Service Quality and facilitate necessary follow-up actions with
EXCOM/Department Heads
GENERAL HUMAN RESOURCES
- In liaison with the HRD, to be responsible for HR Activities to include
employment, remuneration, employee relations, benefits, Health & Safety and
training and development.
- To deputise for the HRD when needed.
- To develop and implement HR, training and quality initiatives to ensure that
the Resort’s business goals are achieved, all in line with CSCS and BSC key
measures.
- To provide advice, assistance and follow up on company policies, procedures
and documentation.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- At least 4 years combined experience as a Asst HRM/Training Manager/HR Co-
ordinator
- Employee Relations, Recruitment and Training experience
- Hotel operations experience
- Training skills certified by educational or training organisation
- Caring, positive personal style
- Sound knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point
- Excellent administrative and organisation skills
- Ability to multi task
