FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER (Ref: MCB·FAO)
To provide support to the General Manager in ensuring the good running of the Bank's activities in line with the objectives set, provide a procedural framework, advice and guidance on all HR matters and also build up MCB Maldives market position.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain standard policies, processes and procedures in line with Banking regulations/practices and MCB standards for all existing business processes at all times.
Ensure Data Accuracy and be accountable for all financial reports to be submitted to regulatory body and MCB group with agreed time Frame.
Ensure proper validity of licenses, contractual maintenance agreements, lease agreements and other established agreements.
Prepare monthly financial statements and the relative schedules.
Assist the General· Manager in preparing the annual budget and budget forecast for the Bank according to guidelines and also collaborate in the monthly monitoring of the Bank's performance with respect to the budget.
Develop and update accounting procedures in line with rules and regulations.
Ensures that all operations are fully compliant in terms of all relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations procedures and standards of best practice.
Assess security risk of the Bank relative to individual risk areas and evaluate identified risk areas and Report on exceptions and initiate actions to comply.
Perform continuous risk-based audit reviews of the Bank on an ad-hoc basis.
Implement HR processes and procedures to attract, develop human capital and maximise employees' potential.
Calculate employee's earnings and deductions as and when required and update the system accordingly.
Identify courses to meet business needs and support organisational changes effectively.
Ensure that the Bank complies with all Safety and Health regulations in accordance with guidelines laid down by the relevant Authorities.
• Profile
BSc in Management/Banking or any related field
Accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA/CIMA) would be a definite advantage
More than 5 years' experience at Managerial level in a similar position in a Banking or Financial Institution
IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Good Leadership skills
Excellent Planning & Organising skills with acute attention to detail
Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Fluent in English both written & spoken
