HR Manager Responsibilities are:
1. Responsible for the availability of qualified human resources for the resort by implementing a precise recruitment and selection strategy.
2. Responsible for organizational change activities and act as a change agent /catalyst.
3. Responsible for the quality development of human resources through the implementation of training & development programs which are suitable to the company’s needs & business challenges.
4. Responsible to create and maintain a conducive work atmosphere within the company in order to increase productivity.
5. Responsible to create and increase employee’s satisfaction by ensuring the implementation of a competitive compensation & benefit system in the company and creating a harmonious work atmosphere for all employees.
6. Responsible to ensure that all HR policies & procedures within the company is in line with the prevailing labor law.
7. Responsible to ensure that all HR rules & regulations are well implemented within the company.
8. Responsible to be able to absorb employee’s aspiration and act as a mediator to bring the aspiration to the attention of the top management level in the resort.
9. Responsible to be able to anticipate & manage employee’s grievance and provide solution as necessary.
10. Responsible to manage all issues related to employer’s – employee relation.
11. Responsible to ensure the smooth running of the operational activities of HR Department.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • University graduate (preferably in law / psychology / personnel management) who is an HR practitioner with minimum 7 years of experience within an international working environment (preferably hotel/ resort industry).
  • Ability to submit concrete recommendations (well-prepared plans of action).
  • Good analytical and conceptual skill.
  • Good understanding of industrial relation issues / legal requirements related to workforce and has good relationship with relevant government bodies.
  • Showing great concern and ability to understand employees moral, behavior and overall social climate in the company.
  • Strong leadership and proven managerial skills.
  • Good communication skill.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good command of English (verbal & written).

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Male or female with age range of 35 – 45 (Maldivian)
  • Well-groomed and outgoing personality
  • Good human relations / inter-personal skill
  • Strong leadership; full of confident and hands on experience in managing people
