The Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives is tailored to provide an exceptional experience for both couples and the family market. We are now actively searching for a Guest Relations Supervisor;

Position: FRONT DESK SUPERVISOR (Maldivians only)

An all – inclusive 4 star premium resort in the South Ari Atoll, Centara Grand offers a unique vacation experience to both families and romantic couples.

As a Front Desk Supervisor you will be responsible to oversee and drive the daily Front Desk operations. Leading a multicultural team you will be tasked with ensuring a high standard of supervision in front desk operation including tasks in checking-in through check-out, overseeing the etiquettes of handling phone and communication process, maintaining guest logs, utilizing and correctly storing and distributing the documents and correspondences and others necessary tasks in front desk.

Duties and Responsibility
  • Monitor the arrival and departure of the guests and ensure the guests are attended.
  • Meet and greet the return guests and VIP guests of the hotel.
  • Supervise and ensure correct flow of operation from shift to shift and information is passed to employees.
  • Ensure all issues pertaining to guest satisfaction are met and that follow up is completed.
  • Maintain accurate guest information in the resort operating system.
  • Maintain and ensure the staffs are following the standard operation procedures in Front Desk.
  • Supervise and ensure the quality assurance in service standards.
  • Drive the Front Desk team towards a motivated and inspired working environment.
  • Oversee the communication and corresponding procedure and ensure professionalism.
  • Spot check Front Desk Agent cash floats to ensure amount is correct as issued by the accounts department.
  • Ensure the staffs awareness on current facts of the hotel and train them constantly.
  • Strategically plan and ensure the front desk team is ready to attend a busy arrival or departure.
  • Maintain and store all the logs, reports and documents in front desk to its best quality.
  • Develop a good relationship with other departments and drive the front desk team towards team work.

Required Job Skills and Qualifications
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills and necessary qualifications:
  • Hotel School Graduate and/or University qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience Front Desk operations, preferably in a supervisorial level.
  • Matured, dynamic and highly motivated.
  • An Outgoing personality who fosters customer relations and team work.
  • Well developed computer skills.
  • Experience working in a multicultural team.
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, hands on approach and very service oriented.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong desire to provide memorable guest experiences by exceeding expectations.
  • A desire to learn and develop in the industry of hospitality management.
