Lifestyle Host

Job Specifications:
Work on a rotation basis within the Front Office, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and adhering to the standard required by the resort. Handles all Front Office cashier’s transactions such as posting charges to guests, taking room payment and exchanging foreign currency according to the procedures.  At the end of shift, balances his/her cash float. Checks in the arriving guest and checks out the departure guests in a friendly and caring manner according to the Coco Palm Bodu Hithi procedures and standards. Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying them of all group check-outs, late check-outs, early check-in and special requests. Obtains all the relevant information from the previous shift, including the volume of business, special guests, tasks to be clarified and to be completed. Welcome and check in for guests, taking account of the established standards (choice of suitable room, completion of bookings and entry into the computer, handover of the room pass and the key, safe guarding payment, luggage organization). Check out of departing guests in accordance with the established standards (drawing up of guests’ bills, processing using the computer system). Knows the emergency equipment and how to use it and what to do in cases of emergency. Check Traces (guest in house & expected arrivals) reports. Accepts reservations and enter these into the computer.

Required Qualification & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from Hotel Management or equivalent similarity experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in resort required.
  • Must be customer-service/team oriented, assist in managing the Front Desk
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral, listening, writing and coaching skills.
  • Must be fluent in English, preferably also any of the following languages: French, German, Arabic, Chinese, any African Language.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible to various work conditions; must have a concern for quality; must be results oriented
