Job Opportunities at Thulhagiri Island Resort

Thulhagiri is situated in North Male’ atoll approximately 13 km from the airport and takes only 25 minutes by speed boat. The island is surrounded by a crystal clear lagoon encompassing spectacular tropical marine life.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions.


CHEF  DE  PARTIE  - SOUTH EAST ASIAN CUISINE
DEMI CHEF -   SOUTH EAST ASIAN CUISINE
REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 4-5 years experience in the capacity of a Chef de Partie –Asian Food
  • Gained experience in the cuisine from the following localities: Thailand,Singapore,Malaysia andVietnam. Possessing experience in the area if Chinese and Japan cuisine would be an advantage
  •  Assisting the Sous Chef with developing menus and setting standard recipes which allow the resort to run at an acceptable food cost.
  • Enthusiasm and drive for excellence
  • Good command of written and spoken English

KITCHEN ARTIST
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ensure proper daily preparation and execution of carving and buffet decoration  to exceed guest satisfaction and expectation
  • work closely with the pastry chef & Garde manger Chef in regards to the decoration as per required standards
  • Assisting the Chef de Cuisine in monitoring the use of standard recipes which allows the kitchen department to operate an acceptable food cost
  • Enthusiasm and drive for excellence
  • Good command of written and spoken English

CHEF DE PARTIE  PASTRY
REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the capacity of a Chef de Partie
  • Assist running the pastry section of the kitchen
  • Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings
  • Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation
  • Plan production to facilitate daily requirements
  • Develop appropriate seasonal menu offerings
  • Manage food cost controls to contribute to F&B revenue
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety regulation

BUTCHER
REQUIREMENT
  • A minimum of 3-4 years experience in an equivalent level of a Resort
  • Must be able to work in all areas of the kitchen depending on the daily requirement of the Head Chef
  • Should possess good knowledge of current food trend with reference to presentation and style
  • Must be able to instruct and lead subordinates trough their daily requirements in food preparation
