GENERAL MANAGER- RESORT BASED (MALDIVIANS ONLY)
Sun Group is made up of a number of Companies formed since 1980 to
engage principally in the Maldives Tourism industry. “Sun Hotels & Resorts”
consists of four resorts under its umbrella.
We are now looking for a GENERAL MANAGER to one of our 4* Resorts.
As a General Manager, you are responsible for leading all key property
issues to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A General Manager
would also be required to train and develop Managers and ensure financial and
other targets are met or exceeded.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following
tasks to the highest standards:
- Independently lead and manage in all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment
- Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the resort
- Lead the Managers to ensure targets are met/exceeded and strategies implemented that increase profitability
- Deliver achievable hotel budgets, and set other short- and long- term strategic goals for the property
- Ensure costs are controlled by the hotel and revenue opportunities are effectively sourced and delivered
- Manage and develop Managers to ensure career progression and effective succession planning
Qualifications:

- Experience as General Manager within a similar quality hotel/resort
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the
following capabilities and distinctions:
- Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of hospitality sector
Salary: Negotiable
