An excellent opportunity with Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu has arisen for the
role of Resident Manager. This is a senior management position that requires Maldivian applicants with a proven
background in the hotel industry. Reporting
directly to the General Manager the ideal candidate will have
experience at the senior management level in a 5 star deluxe property and must have a full understanding of the operational
requirements of the business as well as the
managerial and financial aspects. In particular the ideal candidate
will have both, Room Division and Food and Beverage Division experiences.
Key responsibilities within this role include:
- Working with the General Manager and Senior Management team to ensure the smooth day to day operation of all hotel departments.
- Liaising with department heads ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service.
- Maintaining key business sources to maximize potential revenue
- To deliver the effective control and management of costs.
- To ensure all company policies and regulations are adhered to
- Anticipate guest needs to minimize complaints and responding, where necessary, in a prompt and professional manner ensuring that the guests’ expectations are met.
- To be aware of and analyze all forth coming business on a regular basis and be aware of all daily and future business requirements.
- To manage all operations of the hotel to highest standards in the absence of the General Manager
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- 2/3 years experience in a senior operations management role Food and Beverage and Rooms Division
- Highly organized, detail oriented; ability to work quickly and multi‐task in busy environment.
- Proven knowledge of costing, budgeting & forecasting
- Strong communication skills with both customers and employees.
- Self‐motivated, hard working team player.
- Full Opera and MICROS knowledge.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- A Hospitality/Business Degree is preferred but not essential
