Thulhagiri is situated in North Male’ atoll approximately 13 km from
the airport and takes only 25 minutes by speed boat. The island is surrounded
by a crystal clear lagoon encompassing spectacular tropical marine life.
We are currently recruiting for the following positions.
KITCHEN ARTIST – (ASSISTANT TO CHEF ARTIST)
REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure proper daily preparation and execution of carving and buffet decoration to exceed guest satisfaction and expectation
- work closely with the pastry chef & Garde manger Chef in regards to the decoration as per required standards
- Assisting the Chef de Cuisine in monitoring the use of standard recipes which allows the kitchen department to operate an acceptable food cost
- Enthusiasm and drive for excellence
- Prepare all kinds of decorative work and show pieces for banquet buffets and restaurants, including ice carving, Styrofoam, Vegetables, chocolates, Salt Dough or any other type as per business demand
- Good command of written and spoken English
CHEF DE PARTIE
- DEMI CHEF DE PARTIE FOR BREAKFAST
REQUIREMENTS
- Prepare Breakfast to a consistently high standard in line with the menu specifications
- Working in a strong brigade the breakfast chef must have previous knowledge in this position and an eye and a passion for the restaurant industry.
- Enthusiasm and drive for excellence
- Good command of written and spoken English
Duties also include preparation and service for lunch. Will require
early morning starts!
GARDEMANGER
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the capacity of a Gardemanger
- Good knowledge of Food products in cold kitchen Buffet & all-la cart.
- Great passion for finger food, tapas and amuse gueule.
- Assisting the Sous Chef with developing menus and setting standard recipes which allow the resort to run at an acceptable food cost.
- Enthusiasm and drive for excellence
- Good command of written and spoken English
